Understanding Service & Support Animals at Edge House Miami
Join us at Edge House Miami for an informative session featuring Diana Niever and Mark Pinilla. Diana will present on Edge House Miami, including an overview of the building and its construction, while Mark Pinilla will lead an educational class on service and support animals in housing.
Mark’s portion of the class will help attendees understand the proper way to handle situations when renters request a service or support animal as part of the rental process. Participants will learn which questions may legally be asked when someone requests a reasonable accommodation, what documentation may be requested, who may provide reliable supporting documentation, and why a service or support animal is not considered a pet.
This session is ideal for real estate professionals, property managers, landlords, and anyone involved in housing who wants a better understanding of fair housing practices and the role of service and support animals.
